Thanks for visiting the website. I hope that you’ve found lots of information here that can help you in your research process towards going off the grid for life.
I love electricity ownership and I love surfing and gardening for food production. They both really energise me because they harness the power of nature’s energy.
I’m doing my part to reduce the impact of global warming because I want the habitats of plants and animals to be around for my kids. This is also why I have been running my own business and working exclusively in renewable energy since 2009. I see renewable technology as a direct continuation of my commitment to doing what I can.
As for working with people who are going off grid, I love sharing my customer’s dream of independence and generating clean electricity. I also enjoy visiting the remote locations that people call home… and I get to go to work in helicopters, seaplanes, boats as well as the trusty auto-mobile!
I started this line of work in 2004 when I worked at a start up called EasyBeingGreen as a manager of tradesmen for domestic energy saving installations. I installed my first off grid solar system as a volunteer with the Alternative Technology Association in East Timor in 2005. I am accredited to design and install grid connected and off grid solar systems, and I am a qualified electrician. I’ve installed and managed the installation of over 5,500 grid connected and off grid solar systems in Tasmania, Victoria and the Pacific.
I shifted my focus from grid connect to Off Grid Installations because of my ethical position behind helping people be independent from large scale corporations and environmental care.
Looking forward to working with you and sharing the dream!
